The natural environment with its wild life such as deer, big horn sheep, otter, mink, wild turkey, predators and an abundant bird life, offer a  beautiful setting for a  fly fishing trip. Guests travel the river in driftboats with experienced boatmen. Our guides can help the beginner as well as the expert angler. Accommodations & Camp For your camping comfort on our multi-day trips we have a camp boat that proceeds the angling party down river to set up camp and to prepare meals. When guests arrive camp is set up and comfortable for your convenience. Camps offer tents with head room to stand up in and cots for your comfort. Dining is high quality and well prepared meals. With dinner and breakfast served in a comfortable and enclosed pavilion setting. Fish & Hatches The Deschutes "Redside"  rainbow trout average about 12-15 inches. These fish are firm and strong offering great sport. Our predominant hatches begin in early May with the famous Salmon fly hatch. The Caddis hatch is in July and August. May flies can be present throughout the angling season. Nymph fishing is very productive all season. Steelhead fishing is available beginning in the late summer and early fall. The Deschutes provides runs of steelhead that average seven pounds, with occasional fish over ten pounds. Fishing for them can test an angler's patience and perseverance, but success can fulfill a flyfisher's dream. Deschutes River Steelhead & Wild Trout Trips 2015 Full Day trips with a minimum of two people is $250.00 per person Three day trips with a minimum of four people is $1,200.00 per person Four day trips with a minimum of four people is $1,600.00 per person Reservation, Deposits & Refunds Policy Early reservations are suggested to book the dates that you desire. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure dates. Payment balance for the reserved party size is due thirty days before the trip. Oregon Fishing License is mandatory as well as any required river permits Deposits and payments are non-refundable. Trips proceed regardless of weather conditions. It has been said, "a fisherman is a grown man whose childhood, has been kept whole by the act of fishing" Rodger was born in Alaska where as a young boy he realized that the outdoors was the place to be. He is an experienced river and fishing guide. He has been a river guide on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, where he met his wife Audrey. They started their fishing guide service in 1986.
