The River

The Deschutes River originates high in the Cascade mountains,  journeying through the beautiful high desert of Central Oregon to the Columbia River. The natural beauty with its wild life such as deer, otter, mink, predators and an abundant bird life, offer a unique and beautiful setting for a  fly fishing trip. The water is cold and clear.

The Service

The experience and attention to details give us the confidence to offer you the safest and most enjoyable Deschutes River fly fishing trip available. Our guests return year after year due to our dedication to them and to the sport of fly fishing. We enjoy our work. We invite you to join us, too!

Fish & Hatches

The Deschutes "Redside"  rainbow trout average 12-15 inches. These fish are firm, strong, and great sport. Our predominant hatches begin in mid May with the famous Salmon fly hatch. Caddis hatches are consistent in July and August; with May flies present at the same time. Nymph fishing is very productive all season. Steelhead fishing is available beginning in the late summer and early fall. The Deschutes provides runs of steelhead that average seven pounds, with occasional fish over ten lbs. Fishing for them can test an angler's patience and perseverance, but success can fulfill a flyfisher's dream.
