The feather details are carved and hand painted to produce a high degree of realism. Rodger’s waterfowl carvings reflect high quality workmanship through fine detail, anatomical accuracy and a lifelike appearance. Fish carving prices are based on the length and the complexity of the habit. A 50% deposit is required for work to begin on orders. The balance is due in full upon completion of the piece. Rodger occasionally will have completed carvings in stock. Please call regarding pricing. Duck carving prices are  by the size and type of duck. Rodger Carbone is an outdoorsman who has transferred his love of nature into his art. Rodger’s attention to detail  make his fish and duck carvings truly outstanding. A number of his pieces have merited national recognition. Rodger was born in Alaska, where at a young age he realized that his future would include wildlife and water. While attending college in Arizona he worked on Lake Powell. Many of his summers were spent fighting forest fires and exploring the outdoors. Rodger’s love for the outdoors is evident in all of his activities as a fly fishing guide, photographer and wood carver. Rodger worked as a river guide and boatman on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon in, where he met his wife Audrey.
